Planning permission was obtained for seven new house plots in a remote area of North Uist in 2019.  Studio Hebrides prepared a masterplan and accompanying design guide for submission to the Local Authority for approval.  The submission set out the siting and design parameters for the development to ensure it was cohesive and sensitive to its rural surroundings.  Each house plot was carefully located to avoid disturbance of archaeological remains of previous settlements and to ensure it nestled well into the undulating topography.
